Bullseye News Flash £1 MILLION JACKPOT!!!

Andrew Wood writer of the hit game show ‘Bullseye’ has  written an alternative ending in which contestants could have the chance of winning “BULLY’S MILLION POUND JACKPOT PRIZE”. It will be an end of series one-hour special in which we invite the three highest scoring teams from the entire series (if more than three teams with the same high scores, there will be a play-off to get down to three teams). This one-hour special will include highlights and clips from the entire series of the contestants, the special guest stars, the Professional Darts players and, of course, the host.

The much-loved Bullseye format will remain the same for this One-off Special except for this extra added option of ‘BULLY’S MILLION POUND JACKPOT PRIZE’. The contestants through to the end game will be offered, by the host, not two options, but three options:

  1. They can elect to try and win ‘BULLY’S MILLION POUND JACKPOT PRIZE’. To win this fantastic prize, they must score ‘401 or more’ with nine darts – six for the dart throwing contestant and three for the brains. If they fail to score ‘401 or more’, they don’t win the jackpot prize but we will triple their score into pounds. For example, if they score 360 between them, they will win £1080! The highest possible score with nine darts is 540. We are asking our contestants to try and score ‘401 or more’ with nine darts. The enormity of the challenge is matched by the enormity of the prize.

  2. They can elect to try and win Bully’s Mystery Star Prize by scoring ‘101 or more’ with six darts – three for the dart player, three for the brains of the team. If they fail to score ‘101 or more’ between them, they lose everything. It is all or nothing.

  3.  They can take all of the money and prizes they have won on the show and leave taking their winnings with them. The host will then invite the highest scoring runners-up back onto the stage and offer them the chance of winning Bully’s Mystery Star Prize or ‘BULLY’S MILLION POUND JACKPOT PRIZE’.

When, and if, new series of BULLSEYE comes to our screens, Andrew will do his best to get the broadcaster to agree to this End of Series One-off Special ‘BULLY’S MILLION POUND JACKPOT PRIZE’. Andrew says "We will be looking for contestants for the series, non-professional darts players of the highest standard – County Players, Super League Players, pub league players - with playing partners (the brains) who are both excellent darts players and have a wide range of general knowledge to make formidable teams. "

Bullseye returned to the UK TV screens in 2007 courtesy of Challenge TV. Dave Spikey made his Bullseye debut as the show host replacing the shows original host Jim Bowen. Tony Green has returned as co-host, score caller / referee and prize announcer.

The original show aired between 1981 to 1985 boasted over 15 million viewers every Sunday evening and dart fans were obviously pleased to see the show return for a new series as the game show still receives some of the highest viewing figures for UK TV broadcast game shows. It also gave Challenge TV for the first time in their history a bigger market share than Sky One.

Every week contestants play darts and answer questions to win prizes and then sometimes gamble their winnings for the star prize. More often that not this would be a speedboat, just what you always wanted if you live in the centre of the country! Never the less the show has all the attributes you would expect from a good game show; skill, tension, nerves, and a bit of luck! Would you gamble all your winnings for an undisclosed star prize? 101 or more with six darts? Three darts for the non dart player (the person who has to answer the questions) and three for the dart player? It sound easy!, not when you have the lights and camera's on you! And was the crowd right to say gamble! Who knows, but that is what makes this game special, a must to see and a TV producers must to have program.  The new series has taken northing away from it's original format which is now receives cult viewing.

Bronze Bully Trophy

The famous Bronze Bully also features in the new series. Professional dart players and TV celebrities throw their darts for charity. They have three throws to score as much as they can and if the total score exceeds 301 the score is doubled and the same value in UK £'s is given the the winning contestants choice of charity. The player or celebrity with the highest scored in the series also wins the famous bronze Bully for a year to take on tour with him/her to raise money for charity. Jocky Wilson is reported of saying the bronze Bully was harder to win than an actual Professional Darts Tournament. All dart professional want to win this unique prize and only a few can say they have.

Dart fans in America will also be please to know that the creator of the game show Andrew Wood is working on a American version which he hopes an American TV will back. So if you would like to add your support for Bullseye US Style contact Andrew Wood.
