Outside the Circus Tavern January 2006

Outside the Circus Tavern January 2006
It’s taken me some time to put these few photos’ I took at the 2006 Ladbrooks.com World Darts Championship up on the site. I had a season ticket for the championship that means I could attend all the sessions but unfortunately my father fell ill with cancer and was taken to hospital where he unfortunately died, so I only managed the to see the first day. I had the Tavern raffle the ticket off and the money raised went to a local cancer charity in Essex. Anyway a few poor photos of this years World Championships.

Matchboard

Matchboardt
The Matchboard. If you had a season ticket you were guaranteed your seat near the stage, but the seat I was allocated didn’t give me the best view when play stated, but that is the chance your take.

Phil Taylor Warming up

Phil Taylor Warming up
Phil Taylor warming up just before his first round match. He wasn’t at his best but did enough to make it threw to the next round and as you will all know he eventually won his 13th World Darts title on good form against Peter Manley winning 7 sets to 0.

John Part

John Part
John Part always puts on a good performance and I expected him to do well in this year’s World Championship but it wasn’t to be but he will be back . May the force be with him! So to speak!

Phil Taylor after a hard day at the office

Phil Taylor after a hard day at the office
Phil Taylor after round one! He looks as if he had a hard day at the office well all the pro’s will tell you the first round is always hard and nice to get over with.

The Circus Tavern Crowd

The Circus Tavern Crowd
The Circus Tavern Crowd. If you have never been to the World Championship it’s worth going just for the atmosphere. The Circus Tavern is a small venue compared to some but the crowd make it seem like a packed Wembley stadium. Everyone here loves their darts and they party all day and most of the night. So if you want tickets to the 2007 finals book early or you will miss out. Tickets go on sale in June 2006.
